Week at the beach

AHHH north carolina is officially one of the coolest places i have been EVER!!! We are so lucky to be able to be staying at a kick bass beach house that is literally right on the beach, I can walk out the sliding glass door and maybe walk 100 feet on our own deck and hit the ocean! Yesterday was so fun, it was Sunday and well apparently this family is super strict and don't go swimming on Sunday. A rule my family never really followed as we spent many Sunday afternoons in the Litchfields pool being crazy! Any ways so we were NOT allowed to go in the water, and that is sooo hard when the water is crashing and looks so alluring and is practically beckoning your name just to walk in a little further, SO here Mckenzine and I are walking slowly thur the surf trying to catch little mole crabs (the cutest crabs that dig in the sand) and I am bending over trying to pick them up. Kenzie picks up her foot and kicks me right in the butt literally sending me flying face first into the waves! I pop up shocked that she has sent me into the water and laugh so hard because I am in a white skirt and my shirt is hanging at my knees being soaked! Of course I had to retaliate and get her in! Which of course is what I think we all know I secretly wanted to do! The night went on with some awesome adventure of supposedly watching turtle emerge from the nest and watching them run into the ocean! well let me tell you nature people have no sense of humor and we got yelled at if we even talked to loud next to the nest because it would distract the turtles! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? haha so Paul, David, myself and Paul's cousin Greg decided that it would be exciting for a midnight swim because it was no longer Sunday haha and its something that needed to be done! Well last night was a new moon so there was no moon and it was pitch dark! which is technically unnerving because as most of you know sharks are nocturnal and do their hunting at night! SCARY but I stayed out there and body surfed until Posioden took his wrath out on me because Paul cursed him, and I apparently had to pay for it by being smashed into the sand and rolled all the way to the shore. Needless to say I no longer wanted to temp his fury so I jumped out and made it home. Today was full of adventures boogie boarding and as you can see my terrible burn on the face where even my eyelids are suffering! Blast my European skin! Only looking forward to and even bigger adventure tomorrow!

The Adventure Begins

What a totally crazy week I have had this week and boy oh boy I couldn't be more glad to be officially on vacation! Here I sit in a hotel room in Raleigh ohh yes i said Raleigh the first stop on a journey to the Henderson family reunion. That is Paul's moms side of the family and we are heading down to some beach in north Carolina to stay in our very own beach house for the whole week! I am so excited......But this week also marked a big turning point in my life. I got a job again! wahhooo its a good thing i swear. I am working for a credit union called qualstar and let me tell you that is something that i never really thought myself as going for haha! This week was full of learning new and crazy things and totally making me feel like sooo stupid because I have no clue what they are talking about half the time and I am always asking questions but that's good i guess. Week one of training is done and I finished all my test to become a teller so I must have some common sense then right? But I got to take this week to enjoy my summer. The training takes place in a city called Redmond and it is soooooooooooooo far away from my house! I literally have to leave and hour in a half early just to get there on time because traffic is horrendous around these parts and I don't do well in traffic! Besides getting stuck on the 405 for 2 in a half hours because a bus caught on fire... yes i mean literally a bus caught on fire and they had to shut down all the lanes except one! It was so crazy and frustrating but oh well the things we do for a paycheck. This job is actually quite the blessing because Paul and I will be able to save even more money and hopefully be able to buy a house sometime soon! Finger crossed haha! Also it does give me something to do..... I must admit though leaving Dexter is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do....I can't imagine when its an actual kid and I go back to work! crazy! Leaving him this morning to get on a plane was awful! We do have a wonderful dog sitter who is hanging out at our house this week to take care of our baby! Which i think is just totally awesome! It was hard to look at that face and leave though especially because he caught a terrible cold the night before and was having trouble breathing! nothing like being scared awake because your dog can't breath! not awesome! but alas he is just fine and on antibiotics! This week is going to be a joyous adventure and I can't wait to officially get it started!

The time has come

I have officially wasted enough time being at home with no job! But I got a much needed break from the every day grind of working two jobs and trying to juggle everything Paul and I had going on. I told myself that it was time to get a job, so I hopped onto craigslist and got a call from Qualstar Credit Union. My job would basically be a teller which is neat, but sooo funny because if any of you really knew me you would laugh as well because I was never really AMAZING with money. Until I met Paul and became the OfficeMax money handler of our family! Which came as a GIANT shock to me that, it was my new task! Anyways I had 3 interviews and each person that interviewed me fell in love even more with how awesome I am! The job came through they told me someone with my personality the would be willing to teach! Which soo works out to Paul's and I's benefit because I get to learn all about loans, mortgages, and handling money even better which only makes it great for the both of us and getting ready to buy a home! I start on Monday, for 5 weeks I will do training and I have to drive at least and hour to get to the main branch in Redmond, WA. BAHHH I hate traffic and I have never had to commute ever in any of my jobs! EVER! So this will defiantly be a new adventure! It will be great to have some saving money, since Paul's job takes care of everything this will be money in da bank! And it means a road bike for me!!!! Wahoo I am really excited about that Paul and I will have a super hobby together that keeps us skinny! BAHHH Paul and I are getting ampped for our exciting vacation to North Carolina this next weekend! It his the Henderson Family Reunion, which is Paul's moms side of the family and I have not met a single one of them so this shall be exciting! We get to spend a whole week in an awesome beach house right on the beach I am so excited that I have even been tanning for months so I won't burn and can actually enjoy some sun! Dexter is growing like a weed, he is 36 pounds and keeps on growing! He graduated from his first Dog Education Class he was soo adorable and did so well!

oh the fourth 2

The last post was just pictures because I was having such a hard time figuring out what picture went with what post blah blah blah whatever I am yet to be super talented with my post lol I shall get better. Anyways, I had an awesome fourth of July week because my whole family excluding Dallin came up to visit and it was awesome! The group got here on the 3rd, so we went to the gravel pit where the rest of Paul's family was and got to shoot of some pretty decent fireworks. Even Ashley, Danielle, and I shot off big ones, although those two ran away screaming from them every time haha. Sunday of course was the Fourth and boy oh boy did we have some adventures. We hit up sacrament meeting went home to change, and Paul took us on a great adventure. We went back to the gravel pit and Paul taught everyone how to drive a Front Loader. So moms dream finally came true she has always wanted to drive some heavy machinery and on the Fourth of July 2010 that dream came true! It was sooo funny watching everyone drive. Danielle was a natural and got the biggest load while mom was the funniest to watch. Ashley was the first person EVER to wear high heels while driving a Front Loader, and Dad was a pro parker, he wedge that Front Loader right where it was supposed to go like a pro. After that we went to the other side of the Port to have a BBQ and watch the air show at the grandparents house. They have an amazing view of the puget sound and they air show was crazy. The acrobatics were amazing and when the jets flew over I have never heard anything that loud! It was a lot of fun. Paul did all the BBQing he has become quite the master since we have gotten our grill and I do love it! Nothing better then some good ole BBQ. It was a little chilly outside for the family from Las Vegas so we headed home for some naps. Fire works were nice and Paul even brought me some sparklers which were awesome! Monday was a good day because Paul had it off of work so he got to hang out a little longer with us which was awesome because I love having him around. Monday I finally got to see the new twilight movie while dad and Paul saw Grown ups. It was a great day Paul left in the early evening to head back to Pasco. Tuesday we went to the glass museum which was ehhh it was way to expensive for what it was, but we did get to see people actually blowing glass and making all different kinds of things and that was really awesome. Hit up the Almond Roca outlet and mom went crazy there she was digging almond roca. Wednesday was and awesome day because we went into Seattle and hit up the aquarium and Pikes Market which everyone loved. We got some awesome fruit and just ate it for days. Having the family was sooo much fun but at the same time when you are used to being by yourself it was just semi stressful to have what felt like million people in my kitchen rear raging things! thanks mom I do love it though. When they left it was hard. Things we went well with my sisters which is a bonus, and well I miss my dad more then anything. It's always easy to be ok when you don't see them, but having to say goodbye is terrible when you know you aren't going to be with them for another 6 months. This weekend will be a little less exciting, Paul is in a bike race though, he is riding for Seattle to Portland in two days so it will be fun to do that, and we shall see how he does hopefully some of his skills from riding across America have stayed haha we shall see...

BEST WEEKEND EVER!

OH MY LANTA!!! I had a marvelous weekend it could not have been better! We started off with Thursday and my lovely husband came home to spend yet another jam packed weekend at home! We got a new grill and decided it was time to break it in! And boy did that thing get work done! We started out just Paul and I grilling just to make sure he had it down before we tried to feed other people. It turned out great Paul has a hidden talent that he didn't even know about! Dexter got to indulge in some sweet meat that Daddy made. He loved it.... And Friday ohh can I tell you about Friday! Friday was one of the best days I have had in a while! SOO for like a month I have been planning on having family photos taken of Paul and I with Dexter. And boy did we find the best deal ever! We got our pictures taken by Kjrsten Madsen and she was AMAZING!!! Literally I wish she could have been there to do our wedding because she was that awesome! She does my favorite Blog haveacuteday.blogspot.com and totally inspires me on a daily basis. You should check her out because even Paul had a great time, we took pictures in Tacoma next to the water and in the city. It was the best time she was so fun and even knew most of Paul's family which made it even cooler because they were talking and it totally put Paul at ease and she said he even smiled well! That's a big deal!!!! I have not had that much fun in a while and although Dexter was a little wild man she said he did well! Not many people can have such a beauty like Dex.... Although I think we are going to have to put his modeling carer on hold because he doesn't pay that well of attention....Oh well something to work on! Then Saturday the party continues we had a bunch of our Dickson family over for a BBQ and it was a hit! We had Dan and Kelly and their beautiful children, as well as Rob and Ali and their two, add Molly and Stephen plus their 2 girls, Tom and Chis, with some Richard and Jack throw in a crazy dog who tackles children as they run away from him and you have a house hold of crazy and fun! It was a great time we had some burger, hot dogs, and carne asada! It was a blast I love getting together with family it almost makes me feel at home. Washington is starting to warm my little heart a bit! I know I know crazy but summer is turning out to be pretty delightful! And to top it all off my family is coming next week for fourth of July and I am soooo excited Ash and Danielle are coming as well and that should be a blast! We are going to be doing so many things and I could not be more amped to have them here! I have to prepare the house and what not find some air mattresses and spend some awesome family time! This week is gunna be marvelous! Life is wonderful right now! I love my husband, I have a great family up here in Washington and the best little four legged baby in the world. I am counting my blessings!

never last long enough

AH boy do I love the weekends, I love having Paul home, I love the sunshine, and I love spending time with my little family. SOO this week I started tanning again, Paul informed me very kindly that I have been looking oh so very pale, lucky me I knew he was right but I had offically been ok with my whiteness, but as we are getting ready to head to North Carolina in the next month or so to stay at the beach I needed at least a base tan so I don't burn terribly! The week was good, Dexter is excelling in doggy classes all though he is for sure the most lively of the bunch, but he isn't the one barking!! He still hasn't picked up that habit so I am super excited about that. I also got an awesome new phone, I got the Sprint HTC Evo and its totally awesome as lame as I sound for being super excited over a silly phone. But all the pictures above are taken with it and it is super sweet! Paul came home Thursday and we were able to have a good weekend together. We watched A LOT of soccer! Which was awesome Paul is really funny when he is super into something. We also got to go out to dinner with Bonnie and Richard on Friday and Saturday, which was a lot of fun. We did yard work on Saturday and that is a freckin chore especially with has large as our yard is! It's huge for those of you who don't know friggen HUGE!!! I will put up some pictures after I really clean it up there is a huge part of it that is just weeds and it is quite a daunting task to take on. I also got to go to lunch with the girls this week. It was alot of fun because we were able to all hang out while the kids played in the mcdonalds play place. It was good to talk with everyone i do enjoy having adult conversations haha Dexter doesn't talk back bah haha as lame as that sounds again! Saturday was filled with soccer attacking the backyard, and dinner with a movie, with a babysitting job afterwards. Paul and I went and saw the a-team with Bonnie and Richard. It was alot of fun and a great movie actually! Rob and Ali called and asked for a night out so we took Graham off their hands for them. It was an eye opening expereince. I am not ready for children is what I truly found out. He was a good baby but with him and Dexter it was a friggen circus! Lots of fun, but something I am not ready for! HAha maybe in another year or so!
